MYTH: Gamblers are kept awake and gambling by extra oxygen that is pumped into the casinos.
FACT: While most people claim to be more awake in Las Vegas, it is probably due more to adrenalin than anything else. This myth possibly originated from Mario Puzo’s novel, “Fools Die”. In the novel, employees pump oxygen into the casino to keep people gambling so they can make more money. We could only hope that some of the casinos really do pump in oxygen.
